Biocide Registration

The M300 is registered as a biocide in France (INRS no. 1981), Germany (BAuA no. N35042) and the UK (HSE no. 8685)

The M300 is recognised on the list of antifouling substances that are considered environment-friendly by the International Watersport Community Bodensee (IWGB)

The M300 is fully compliant with the MEPC Resolution 102 (48) of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO)

 

 

SHMRC-Poseidon Study and Physical Data

A study was carried out by the highly reputed SHMRC-Poseidon laboratory in the Tuticorin Bay in India, known to have some of the dirtiest waters of the world.

A comparative study was carried out regarding the development of organisms on plates that are statically immersed in salt water.

All of this data has resulted in the SHRMC laboratory arriving at the following conclusions:

  • The product has prevented the growth of invertebrates on the treated plates
  • The product is efficient in reducing the formation of a bio-film on surfaces that are underwater
  • The product is effective against a large variety of species found in salt water as well as freshwater
  • The product demonstrates a long-term effectiveness in both, salt water as well as freshwater
  • As regards the service life of the product, maintenance is highly minimal, almost none at all.
  • There is hardly any copper discharge, and the wear and tear is minimal
  • The product is effective for more than 8 years in an aggressive freshwater environment
  • The product is effective for more than 5 years in an aggressive salt water environment
